Recipe: Red Enchilada Sauce

ENCHILADA SAUCE


INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbps garlic powder
1 tbps onion powder
1 tbsp cumin
2 tbsp mild chili powder
4 tbsp flour
4 cups chicken broth
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce



DIRECTIONS
Mix spices and flour in olive oil in saucepan over medium heat until fragrant and starting to brown.


Slowly add chicken broth and tomato sauce to mixture.  Cook and stir until thickened.


Great sauce for not only enchiladas but also add as liquid one part sauce to one part water for use in making Spanish rice!!
