Looking For The Healthy Me

Where Did She Go? This is me in 1986.
Hello, my name is Cizon, I'm on a mission to find the healthy me.  At first I almost titled this "Looking For The Skinny Me" but lets be honest, the only way this is going to work is long term focus on a healthy body.  Does that include a desire to be skinny, well honestly, YES!  But skinny to me is getting down to a size 4 or 6 or hopefully a size B bra cup or more realistically not being in as much pain from my low back and knees and other aches and pains associated with rheumatoid arthritis.  Hopefully in the process I will also be reducing the high blood pressure and eliminating any chance of contacting diabetes as some of my family has acquired via lifestyle choices.

I've tried South Beach and had success.  I've tried diet and excise and found success.  I also found I love food and that living a renewed lifestyle will be hard work.  My family is supportive.  In fact my daughter is also working on her goals as well for a healthy, lower weight, lifestyle.  We have been a team so far and she has been supportive of my LCHF choices and just last night said this is more of a lifestyle change for eating healthy than a diet.  She is absolutely correct!  She is such a smart cookie!

I joined MyFitness Pal several years ago and have used it infrequently but I am now making it my go to each day to take advantage of its offerings.  I'm using a low carb, somewhat Keto, approach to this new life I'm leading.  I'm feeling full.  I'm hopeful.  Follow my journey by checking out Cizon's MyFitnessPal Diary each day!

Getting into shape would go a long way to easing the daily pain from arthritis and injuries to my neck and back.  Reducing the weight will help me to feel and look healthier.  I am a petite 5'1" and I've always wanted to reduce my figure so that I can wear size 4/6 so hopefully I can find that number at some point on this journey.

Reasons Why I Want To Find The Healthy Me:

  • I need a new wardrobe.
  • I want to feel fit and healthy so I can stand or sit without being in pain.
  • I want inspire my diabetic spouse to rethink his diet and lifestyle
  • I want to be able to live and enjoy life until at least I am 122!
  • To create a better Temple for the Holy Spirit to reside!

What are your reasons for seeking a healthy lifestyle and how are you doing it?
